The Fleet range of services and solutions provides both ocean-going and coastal vessels with comprehensive voice, fax, and data communications. Inmarsat Fleet's high-speed Mobile ISDN and cost-effective IP-based Mobile Packet Data services offer unparallel connectivity including access to e-mail and the Internet, weather updates, video-conferencing, data transfer and an advanced (GMDSS) voice distress safety system (Fleet F77 only).
The two other members of the family, Fleet F55 and Fleet F33, also offer global ship-to-shore communications but with the benefit of reduced-size antennas and above-deck equipment, making them ideal for medium to smaller vessels. So whether you operate a merchant, leisure, fishing or government vessel, there is an Inmarsat Fleet solution to meet your needs.

Fleet 77
Fleet 77 is the next generation of maritime satellite communication terminals and will give you 24x7 online access to any vessel anywhere in the world. Fleet77 transceiver provides a constant two-way link to Inmarsat satellites offering Inmarsat Fleet MPDS communication.
The basic Fleet77 package consists of a transceiver and an antenna together with a handset and cradle. The terminal is an integrated communication centre providing links to phones, fax machines, and even ship-board computer networks.

Fleet 55
Fleet55 is the second maritime high-speed terminal in Fleet product family. Comprising a terminal, an antenna and a handset, the Fleet55 unit is an integrated communication centre enabling voice and data to be transferred via 64 kbps ISDN or MPDS protocols. No GMDSS service is available on Fleet55.
The Fleet55 unit has a smaller antenna than the Fleet77 terminal, which makes the new unit attractive for vessels in the categories of private yachts, coast guard vessels and fishing vessels.

Fleet 33
Fleet33 is an attractive addition to the existing Fleet product family and Inmarsat’s Fleet services offering global voice, fax and data communications. The new terminal provides users with an integrated 9.6 kbps fax and data service within the Inmarsat spot beam area.
Furthermore, the Fleet33 terminal is prepared for the Mobile Packet Data Service (MPDS) planned for introduction in the beginning of 2004. MPDS allows users to remain always connected since charges are made only for the amount of data sent and received rather than the time spent online. MPDS is therefore an ideal solution for e-mail, web and intranet access.
With its small antenna, light above-deck equipment and a low-cost, simple hardware installation the Fleet33 is particularly well designed for smaller vessels that require global voice and spot beam data service.
